Platforms start to have waves of copy-catting going on when something works. Tiktok for example, has a ton of walking up to people reaction stuff. It's simple, not super creative, and has endless content if you just go out and do it. By no means am I saying it's easy, but you end up with SO MUCH of it because it's low-hanging fruit that gets rewarded.
Pretty much the main reason people coined the term "Beastification" was because everyone just started to copy the formats that Mr. Beast did that worked.
It's annoying and effective, but it's generally a product of how people are being condition to consume content.
My hope is that the 'boring feeling' will lead to a counter-culture movement that will no longer make these types of videos dominate.
