YouTube has introduced a feature called Members Only Shorts, allowing creators to share exclusive short-form videos with their paying subscribers. This feature aims to provide additional content for subscribers beyond regular perks like custom emojis and badges. Creators can use Members Only Shorts for various purposes such as announcements, Q&As, or behind-the-scenes looks. The goal is to incentivize viewers to sign up for paid memberships and provide them with a more intimate connection to the creators.

I love this update! It’s a big hurdle to move your audience around, and so starting patreons or other monetization platforms (while a good idea) is daunting for small creators. I like the idea of being able to test the waters on shorts.
