The 2024 U.S. election night was marked by a significant surge in viewership on conservative platforms, notably Rumble, which achieved its highest-ever peak of 1.79 million viewers. Rumble's viewership exceeded that of other platforms like Kick, though it still lagged behind YouTube and Twitch. The platform’s top streamers, conservative commentators Dan Bongino and Stephen Crowder, each attracted hundreds of thousands of viewers. Trump’s campaign strategy involved engaging with influential right-leaning creators, including Adin Ross and the Nelk Boys, solidifying his appeal among young male voters. Meanwhile, progressive streamers like Hasan Piker drew substantial audiences on Twitch, with Piker’s commentary resonating with those concerned about radicalization trends among young men. On TikTok, some creators engaged users with interactive, fictional electoral maps, attracting attention from viewers searching for real election updates. The 2024 election underscored shifting dynamics in political internet culture, with platforms like Rumble poised for continued growth.

The appeal to younger audiences is interesting. The Nelk Boys, Adin Ross, and others have a lot of influence with younger people who might not typically care about politics. We are seeing a very different tactic than what weve seen before.
Whats hilarious is that all these platforms, Rumble, Twitch, YouTube etc are actively participating in the radicalization pipelines they are supposedly trying to fight.
Both sides are pulling younger people deeper into echo chambers, and all this “alternative platform growth” is only going to make things more polarized.
