I deleted all my tweets

Alex Chan reflects on their complex relationship with Twitter (now X). While the platform facilitated meaningful personal and professional connections, it also led to regrettable interactions and outdated representations of their views. Consequently, Chan chose to delete approximately 35,000 tweets using a paid service, TweetDeleter.com, uploading their Twitter archive to expedite the process.

Despite considering account deletion, they opted to retain it as a pointer to their current online activities. Chan plans to make a final post linking to the blog entry before permanently logging out, expressing that their Twitter era has concluded after fifteen years.

Ive always hesitated to delete my tweets. Even the embarrassing ones feel like some kind of time capsule, but I get where this guy is coming from. Some opinions don’t age well.
