Ask CBX: Do other creators get the sunday blues?

Hey cbx,

I've been noticing that as Sunday evening rolls around, I start feeling a bit down and anxious about the week ahead. I was wondering if any other creators here experience the same thing?

How do you deal with the Sunday blues, especially when it comes to staying motivated and inspired for the week? Any tips or routines that help you shake off those end-of-weekend feelings and start the week strong?

I totally get what your saying! Sunday blues are definitely a thing for me too. It's like the weekend wasn't long enough and now it's back to the grind. Here some things that help me:

Plan Something Fun for Sunday Night: I try to do something enjoyable on Sunday evenings, like watching a movie or having a nice dinner. It gives me something to look forward to rather than dreading the end of the weekend.

Prepare for the Week Ahead: Spending a bit of time on Sunday planning my week helps me feel more in control. I make a to-do list and prioritize tasks so Monday doesn't feel overwhelming.

Self-Care Routine: I dedicate some time to self-care on Sundays. Whether it's a long bath, meditation, or reading a book, it helps me relax and recharge.

Limit Work on Weekends: I try to keep weekends as work-free as possible. It helps me truly unwind and come back more refreshed on Monday.

Exercise: A good workout on Sunday afternoon or evening can do wonders for my mood. It's a great way to release any built-up stress.

I would be lying if this always worked. Sometimes the feeling is overwhelming and nothing helps, I've been there. I hope you find something that works for you.

I don't only get it on Sunday, I get it pretty much ANY day of the week where I'm not doing what I like to do. I don't particularly care for my day job, but it allows me to create on the side. What usually calms me down is that I know I wont be there forever.

I get Sunday blues too..
I find that a short walk or some light exercise in the evening helps clear my head. Also, setting aside some time to plan out my week really makes a difference.
