Some strong words, but I see their point. The use of social media and being glued to your phone is higher than its ever been before I believe.

Its no question that they prioritize addictive behavior. I mean how many times have we seen Facebook/Meta get caught red handed promoting controversy.

It's almost domain knowledge at this point that social media needs to be in the hands of people who are aware enough to understand that it can be extremely addictive. There has been a huge emerging market of apps, sites, products, that throttle your daily use of such sites.
