Did you forget that you're an artist?

Cassidy Frost writes a passionate critique of how musicians are using social media, particularly vertical-scroll platforms like Instagram, in ways that limit their creativity. She argues that musicians today have unprecedented access to tools and global audiences, but instead of using them innovatively, many waste time on social media content that offers little artistic value. Frost encourages artists to break free from social media’s addictive influence, stop catering to tastemakers, and instead focus on creating unique experiences that truly reflect their music and individuality. She emphasizes that musicians don’t need social media to build lasting careers—they have the power to define new creative landscapes themselves.
